Tips for Using Meditation When You Have ADHD
Below are some tips recommended by ADHD coach Jacqueline Sinfield to help you with your meditation.
- Adjust the meditation experience so that it works best for you.
- Don’t worry if your mind keeps on chattering when you meditate. It is not a sign of failure. With practice, this should diminish.
- Meditation doesn’t have to take a long time. If you are pressed for time or not able to do a lengthy meditation, you can do a ‘power meditation’ for 5 minutes and realize benefits.
- Meditation is not a type of religious ritual. You can practice meditation no matter what your religious or spiritual beliefs
