Richard Hughes has been a consultant to local and state governments and non-profits for over 40 years. He is a former partner at Booz, Allen & Hamilton. He was also a co-founder of Hughes, Heiss & Associates, established in 1974. His consulting practice included management and operation audits, productivity improvement,
leadership and management development, executive search, strategic planning and organizational development.
Rich has been active in his community and on nonprofit boards. He currently is President of the Coast Life Support District on the northern California coast. He was formerly President of the Board for the Redwood Coast Medical Services, The Sea Ranch Association and two other HOA boards, as well as an advisory board member at the Ford School of Public Policy at the University of Michigan and treasurer of a board focusing on meals on wheels and social issues for seniors.
He continues to lead the fund raising and scholarship award programs for two different public school districts.
Mr. Hughes has a MPA from the University of Michigan and an AB in political science from Washington University in St. Louis.
