Tony is first and foremost, an accountant. He has served as a Controller, CFO, Regulatory and Governmental Advocate, Sales Executive, Finance Director, University Lecturer and CPA. He has worked in corporate for-profit organizations including a 26 year career with GTE/Verizon, non-profit entities including Overlake Hospital and academic organizations including the University of Washington, the University of Hawaii and Bellevue College.
In 1998, Tony joined The Pacific Institute providing cognitive education worldwide. In 2003, Tony formed Causative Inc. providing high performance financial, managerial and cultural development techniques to a wide range of clients including the Entergy Corporation and Northeast Utilities, the Province of British Columbia, San Bernardino County, the City of Fresno, RL Cook Sales and Supply, Raisbeck Engineering and the Edge Foundation.
Prior to entering the corporate world, Tony received his training as a CPA at Deloitte/Touche. In 2017 he was recognized as a top US CFO. His academic credentials include a Masters in Accounting, Bachelors in Economics, registration as an accredited Tax Preparer with the IRS, and service as a Lecturer in Accounting at the University of Washington Foster School of Business. In addition, he taught accounting and finance at the University of Hawaii.
Tony has served on the Board of the Oregon Graduate Institute chairing the Audit Committee as well as the Board of the Association of Washington Business, the Washington Business Roundtable(Deputy), the California Chamber of Commerce, Cal-Tax, Seattle Seafair, the Washington Independent Telephone Association and the Navy League. Professionally, has held licenses to practice as a CPA in three (3) states including Washington, Connecticut and Hawaii.
