Sybil Wells brings more than 15 years of executive leadership experience in the nonprofit, education, and youth development sectors to her role as Chief Executive Officer of the Edge Foundation. Throughout her career, she has been recognized for her strategic vision, innovative leadership, and commitment to expanding opportunities for young people. Sybil has successfully led organizational growth, strengthened fundraising and strategic partnerships, advanced diversity and inclusion initiatives, and developed programs that improve educational access and outcomes for underserved communities. Her expertise spans nonprofit management, organizational development, change leadership, community engagement, and social impact.
Prior to joining the Edge Foundation, Sybil served in executive leadership positions with organizations including BUILD NYC, Farmingdale State College, Hofstra University, Project Grad Long Island, and the Boys & Girls Club of the Bellport Area. She holds a bachelor’s degree in History and Communication, a master’s degree in Education Administration, a Certificate in Nonprofit Leadership, and a master’s degree in Biblical Studies. She is also a certified Prosci Change Practitioner and is currently pursuing a Doctorate of Theology. Sybil is passionate about empowering individuals to reach their full potential and is committed to advancing the Edge Foundation’s mission of helping students and adults strengthen the executive functioning skills they need to succeed in school, work, and life.
