Gwendolyn W. Williams retired as Assistant General Manager-Supply Chain Services for the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power in 2019 and has since worked as a consultant and University guest lecturer. Prior to her employment at LADWP she was an AECOM Project Director in Los Angeles and Tripoli, Libya, Executive Officer, Procurement at LA Metro and Principal Consultant at her firm, WYSA & Associates where she worked on various transportation projects. She holds a M.S from USC and is a Project Management Professional (PMP). For the past 40+ years she’s worked as a project manager and procurement professional tasked with implementation of major change initiatives in both the public and private sectors. She has also served on the USC Viterbi School of Engineering’s Center for Engineering Diversity Industry Advisory Board, the California Lung Association and the Amtrak Citizens Advisory Committee. She reads and writes as often as she can find the time.
