Executive Function Coaching for Individuals
An Edge Coach specializes in providing individuals with the skills they need to overcome learning and attention challenges that can cause problems with school, family life, work and friendships.

What it is
The Edge Coach works as a partner with people to develop a plan to achieve goals they have identified. The coaching relationship empowers them by providing structure, support, and accountability. They own the goals and plans because these come from them, not from the coach.
How it Helps
The focused and personalized one-on-one approach used in Edge Coaching helps individuals with:
- Goal setting
- Planning and organizing
- Prioritizing and time management
- Focusing and perseverance, even in the face of adversity
- Impulse control
- Motivation and procrastination
- Follow-through and task completion

Who Can Benefit
Edge executive function coaching – done in-person – can help young people in elementary school, middle school, high school, vocational / technical school, community college and university. It is also effective for adults entering the workplace, as well as older adults who may have struggled with learning and attention challenges such as ADHD because they were never diagnosed in childhood.
How to Get an Edge Coach
Our coach selection process has been designed to make sure each individual is paired with a coach that he or she is excited about and comfortable with. Here’s how it works.
STEP 1
Contact Us
To get an Edge Coach, all you do is contact us. For students under 18 years of age, parents will participate in all phases of the application process. For students 18 years and older, it is expected that the student take the initiative for selecting his or her own coach and that the parents take a supportive but secondary role.
STEP 2
Our Coach Matchmaker Goes to Work
Our coach matchmaker, based on our conversations with you and your parents / financial guarantor, will identify which of our coaches is the best fit for you. You and the prospective coach talk with each other (if the individual is under 18, both the parent / financial guarantor and the individual will talk with the coach), and determine whether it is an appropriate fit.
STEP 3
Select Coach
Once you have decided on the right coach for you, the parent / financial guarantor or the individual (if 18 years or older) and coach will sign a contract and commence coaching. Payment for services will be made directly to the Edge Foundation.
Made for the Times
Children with challenges such as ADHD are more impacted by the pandemic and distance learning than their peers. Learning loss, the lack of ability to self-manage with online learning, and falling behind are all possible. We have a proven virtual coaching method that can help your students succeed, even during a pandemic.
