The Edge Foundation supports students in their quest for academic and personal success.

For students under 18 years of age, parents will participate in all phases of the application process. For students 18 years and older, it is expected that the student take the initiative for selecting his or her own coach and that the parents take a supportive but secondary role.

Parent/Student Steps to Getting an Edge ADD/ADHD Coach

Once you’re ready to get your own coach, these are the steps to take:

  1. Click the “Get a Coach” button at the top of the page and complete the online application. We may contact you to request additional information.
  2. Based on the information you have supplied, we will select a coach we think will be a good fit for you and supply you and the coach with each other’s contact information.
  3. Then talk with the coach. During the conversation it will become clear:
    • whether a comfortable connection can be made,
    • whether coaching would be beneficial for the candidate given his or her particular situation, and
    • whether the candidate wants to be coached and is “coachable” by that coach.
  4. If you then wish to speak with additional coaches, you need only contact us and ask.
  5. Once a coach has been selected, the parent or the student (if 18 years or older) and coach will sign a contract and commence coaching. Payment for services will be made directly to the coach.

Edge Foundation Criteria

Not everyone will be a good candidate for working with an Edge Coach. Before providing a connection to one of our coaches, the Edge Foundation examines each applicant’s case. During this evaluation the Edge Foundation takes into account:

  • Is the student deemed coachable and would he or she benefit from ADD/ADHD coaching?
  • Does the parent/student agree to the Edge Foundation general terms and conditions?
  • Is the candidate able to afford ADD/ADHD coaching? If not, does the candidate qualify for a scholarship?

Scholarship Program

At the Edge Foundation we want to make sure that everyone who needs and wants an ADD/ADHD coach can get one. And we want to make sure that no one suffers undue financial hardship to secure the help they need. For this reason, Edge offers a student fee scholarship program. Scholarship qualification is determined by financial need on a sliding scale, on the basis of parental ability to pay. If your child qualifies for a scholarship, Edge will subtract the scholarship amount from the standard fee. Contact us to learn more.
